2 Day Property Masterclass

During this 2 day workshop you will learn everything required to shoot stunning photographs, film amazing videos, create floorplans and 360 tours, use drones in congested locations and approach and sell your services to estate agents, property developers, landlords and many more industries you probably don't yet know about.

Property is one area of photography where photographers consistently under estimate the skills required to be successful. Success is built on strong foundations and a good understanding of the industry you wish to be a part of. I have been creating content for estate agents, landlords, holiday lets and property developers for over 10 years, I have work in the industry starting as a trainee estate agents working my way up to a Branch Manager and Marketing Director at one of the biggest agents in south east London. I made the leap into full time photography in 2017. Understanding what is required from the 'Estate Agent' point of view is critical to providing a product that is both fit for purpose and saleable. 

The course locations are always stunning, we use very large detached properties, well worthy of being in your portfolio.

Drone flights/permission from neighbours etc is not an issue so we will use both ground and aerial equipment to capture the property in all its beauty.

Refreshments and Lunch are provided on both days and there is an option to add accommodation and stay in the property (as long as you keep your room tidy as we will be filming both days).

Planned Itinerary

Day One.

Breakfast will be available from 9am.

We will start at 10am, we will be shooting both inside and outside, and both stills and video during the morning light. I will demonstrate my shooting process and discuss using natural light vs flashes, and demonstrate tripod vs handheld shooting.

We will break for lunch and resume with sale pitches, how we approach potential clients and putting together packages that add value and increase your income. Early afternoon we will go back to shooting and I will demonstrate my process for capturing 360 tours. Fingers crossed for a sunset and a decent blue hour. We will wrap up about 6:30pm but if you are staying in the property you are welcome to continue after.

Day Two.

Breakfast will be available from 9am.

We will start at 10am, focusing on editing our content from day one and reshooting scenes where needed, I will demonstrate video editing using Divinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro & Premier Pro as required followed by editing 360 photos using Lightroom Photoshop and 3D Vista. The goal today is to give you the knowledge and skills to edit with confidence. We will break for lunch and the afternoon will cover Floorplans, data capture and turning our sketch into a digital file and you'll have plenty of time to reshoot if required. The course will wrap up at about 6pm.

By the end of the two days, all attendees will have had the opportunity to create a quality set of photos, a video, a 360 tour and a floorplan which can all be used as examples on your website or marketing material.

This year I plan to squeeze in an optional session on SEO and websites. Generating new leads is the biggest struggle any business will come up against, ill show you how to dominate on Google and how my websites rank on page one generating me a regular flow of leads from high paying clients.

Overnight Accommodation

If you require overnight accommodation there are double/twin rooms available on a first come first serve basis.

You will not be required to share your room with another person however you may be allocated the family bathroom for use during your stay if an ensuite room is not available.

Breakfast and Lunch are provided, however an evening meal is not included, a range of takeaway deliveries are available or you are welcome to visit a local restaurant, on previous workshops we have ordered food in.

A selection of toast/bagels/crumpets will be available for breakfast alongside an assortment of Jams/Spreads.

Self service Tea, coffee and soft drinks are available throughout your stay.

A pre booked lunch will be provided across both days, alongside a selection of cold drinks, tea & coffee.

Ideal Kit List

Please bring your own equipment, cameras, gimbals, drones etc and a laptop capable of editing on if you wish to follow along with the editing process. I do have spare kit available for you to try before you buy and if you need to borrow anything, I will do my best to accommodate requests if you can let me know in advance. We use Godox flashes for off camera flash work, these will be provided but you will need a trigger, please let me know what camera brand and model you use in the booking notes and whether you need to borrow equipment.

As a professional photographer myself, working primarily across the wedding and property industries, I take pride in perfecting my own work, continuing to develop and experiment with my own photography skills.
