Of all the Registry Offices in Kent, Danson House is my all-time favourite.

Situated in the London Borough of Bexley, Danson house is a stunning Grade I Georgian style villa overlooking parkland and the picturesque Danson Lake which makes it a wonderful wedding venue for a Kent wedding photographer like me.

Danson House is hosted by A Kentish Ceremony meaning you are in safe hands as the staff are highly experienced. Offering a number of different ceremony options, the flexibility here is highly impressive.

The Salon is an octagonal room, glittering with light and colour from the fabulous mirrors. The stylish decor adds to the glamour of the setting. Licensed for a maximum of 45 seated guests.

The Dining Room is decorated in romantic gold’s and pinks with its set of 17 original wall paintings telling the story of love. It is licensed for up to 65 people

The Library is a splendid space, also known as the music room; it is licensed for up to 65 people

Sir John Boyds Room is on the top floor, creating an amazing photo opportunity as you walk up the stunning spiral staircase. Licensed for up to 25 guests it is great for smaller weddings and allows fantastic views across the park.

The Johnston Room is also on the top floor but holds just a petite group of 12 guests; perfect if your circle is small.

After the ceremony there are a number of options on Danson House’s doorstep that make for fantastic reception venues.

For smaller parties I would highly suggest Fleur de The. A hidden gem set within Danson house itself, the tearoom is able for private hire to host small weddings and the food is delicious. Make sure the wedding photographer gets a slice of cake though!

Alternatively, Danson Stables is a short stroll away from Danson House. Recently refurbished the Grade II listed building is a classic pub with traditional values and a buffet to die for!

Extremely flexible in terms of menu options, (I recommend the lamb shank) the team at Danson Stables will ensure all your guests are talking about the food for all the right reasons.
