As professional photographers in Kent, we often work with clients from across different industries, but we were delighted to visit The Mercure Hotel in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, for our first wedding related project of the 2021.

Although wedding's and events have all been postponed until the pandemic has improved, there is still a great demand for wedding venues in Kent to continue to promote their services virtually. Creating quality marketing material for any business is extremely important, so the Mercure Hotel team felt that now was an ideal time to showcase what the hotel has to offer.

Weddings at The Mercure Tunbridge Wells Hotel

Wanting to create an impact for our photoshoot, Wedding Coordinator Sophie did a fantastic job organising the hotel ready for our arrival, ensuring we had a successful day exploring the benefits of the hotel.

Claire from The Creative Venue was booked to dress the Parkside Suite and Park Avenue rooms for a Spring wedding and I'm sure you can agree what a beautiful job she did.

The Park Avenue Suite at Mercure Tunbridge Wells

The Park Avenue Suite is the most popular ceremony room at The Mercure Hotel Tunbridge Wells and sits in the original Georgian Dower House area of the hotel. The arched windows are a much loved feature of the room and make a lovely unique backdrop for couples when saying they vows.

The Creative Venue had dressed the room for our professional photoshoot with a light and airy Spring theme and it really did look beautiful. Claire invested so much detail and precision with her work that it certainly didn't go unnoticed.

In the Park Avenue Suite, pink chair sashes were adorned with pearl cluster brooches, magnificent floral centrepieces stood proudly either side of the alter and delicate floating candles dancing in rustic lanterns. If you are looking for a company to dress your Kent wedding venue, be sure to give Claire a call.

With beautiful soft ceiling drapes, The Parkside Suite had also been transformed into a perfect Spring wedding reception venue. With rustic elements added to each table and sage green chair covers affixed with pearls, the theme was elegant and graceful; perfectly in keeping with the natural decor of the room.

The grande floral centrepieces featured yellow tulips, a colour that was echoed throughout the room with candles in such a delicate yet inviting way. Claire from The Creative Venue had truly worked her magic and It was a delight to be welcomed into such an inviting atmosphere.

If you are looking for a Kent Wedding Venue, The Mercure Hotel Tunbridge Wells is a really fantastic space to consider. With capacity to host up to 150 guests the Parkside Suite is an extremely versatile room with the benefits of a private bar, toilets and a well maintained garden too offering additional space for your wedding guests to enjoy.

So Much To Offer...

Although there are many hotel wedding venues in Kent, The Mercure Hotel has received a number of awards for their hard work and high levels of customer service over recent years. Coming second in Kent Wedding venue of the year (losing only to Leeds Castle) is a fantastic achievement for the team and we certainly feel that the Mercure Hotel has so much to offer for couples looking to get married in Kent and to so many others.

The Mallows Restaurant offers food of fantastic quality and a wide range of choice, so if you are looking to dine in Tunbridge Wells take a look at their latest menu. Popular with locals alongside guests of the hotel, the restaurant is often booked well in advance, often hosting families for small gatherings and Sunday lunches.

The lounge and terrace areas also both make perfect locations to enjoy a drink with friends and the Lily Pond is a little hidden gem within the grounds that looks fantastic when in bloom.

4* Hotel in Kent

As we were visiting to create new marketing content for the whole of the hotel, we took the opportunity to capture a range of the photographs of different suites and ensuite bedrooms available. Some rooms have been modernised more than others, but I love the blend of the traditional elements throughout the hotel as it really brings character and a nod to the hotels 18th century roots.

Each room is designed differently enabling each one to have its personality; for example one Suite features a light floral duck egg wallpaper alongside oak furniture for a serene vibe, whereas another, that is often used as the bridal suite, is a decorated in deep reds and gold giving a grande feel to visitors. Rest assured whichever room you stay in, the space will be clean and comfort a priority, the beds are fantastic and each room has tea and coffee making facilities.

The Creative Venue - As a fellow recommended supplier of the Mercure Hotel Tunbridge Wells, Claire and her team at The Creative Venue did a magnificent job dressing both the Parkside Suite & The Park Avenue Suite in preparation for our visit. It was fantastic to meet Claire and see the true detail and passion she invests into her work and we look forward to photographing her work again soon.

Sophie (Events Coordinator) - Throughout the planning stages and during the photoshoot, It was clear that Sophie is passionate about growing the Mercure Tunbridge Wells brand which made the whole experience more enjoyable for us as photographers.

The Mercure Tunbridge Wells Team - It was clear the whole team had worked hard to prep all areas of the hotel for our photoshoot and they had done a fantastic job. Each member of staff we met were each extremely welcoming and helpful to us and nothing was ever too much trouble. We can certainly see why the hotel is so popular and look forward to returning again soon.

Please note that as we visited in February 2021, the hotel was operating solely to host keyworkers in need of accommodation and/or conference space during the coronavirus pandemic. Additional surfaces and soft seating had been removed from bedrooms and lounge areas to adhere to government regulations however the hotel team intends to reintroduce these fixtures as soon it is safe to do so.
