The power of music is totally underestimated. Having the correct music at your wedding reception can change the whole atmosphere of the room but it is important you choose something that you enjoy.

In my opinion, live music is the best way to create an instant buzz and get people busting some moves on the dance floor. Being a Kent wedding photographer, Luke Granger regularly captures plenty of dad dancing, which makes for some entertainment in itself. The ability to capture the atmosphere of a room within a photograph is a skill Luke has mastered well. I guess that is why he is the best wedding photographer in Kent.

Everyone has different tastes in music so it can be really hard decision to decide what wedding entertainment you choose. Whether you prefer the sensual notes of swing or want to rock out to 'Mr Brightside' I have found my favourite live wedding bands and singers to share with you all. They each bring something different to the table, so if you are looking for the best wedding entertainment in Kent, I hope this helps.

All of these acts perform regularly at weddings or events in the South East so if you're in Kent, Sussex, Surrey or London, you may have even heard of some of them before. I have included a video of each of my recommendations for you to see them in action but check them out on their social media pages to see more of their work.

The RockPins

Now, I haven't actually seen these guys live yet, one of our 2020 brides has them booked so I have been following them for a little while on her recommendation. The Rockpins have won the Wedding Entertainment Live Act of the Year multiple times at the Kent wedding awards amongst an assortment of other awards so are clearly well respected in the industry as being amazing.

Clearly The RockPins are experts at filling the dance floor; I love the variety they offer, their song list is extensive yet brings with it so much familiarity. No doubt, there will be something for every wedding guest to enjoy.

Jason Allen

Jason is a fantastic swing and jazz singer who really brings some suave sophistication along to every event he attends. I first saw him perform about 8 years ago, the Michael Buble song 'Home' is one of my favourites and he did not disappoint. Given that he is the Uk's Number 1 tribute act, I know any Buble fan would be proud to have him sing them down the aisle or as they dance their first as husband and wife.

Don't be fooled though, Jason is no one trick pony; his set list covers music from the 50's to present day and has enough charisma to get any crowd tapping or singing along.

Lianna Haynes

Lianna's vintage style is stunning. Bringing every audience joy, her performances will make you feel as though you’ve stepped back in time.

Lianna covers an extensive range of hits from the 50’s and 60’s covering many genres including rock and roll, jazz and doo-wop. If your looking to add a little (or a lot) of vintage vibes to your wedding day, be sure to get in touch with Lianna. I could listen to her voice for hours.

GrooveZoo

The Ultimate Party Band, that will instantly create a party, they bring something different to the table from other wedding bands. With their eclectic list of party music their high energy performances create a wedding soundtrack to be remembered.

GrooveZoo will get the party well and truly started with their incredible live show, which will not only sounds amazing, but also looks pretty amazing thanks to the funky lights and lasers they bring along. Just watching their video's makes me want to hit the dance floor.

You may have noticed, I haven't added any prices to any of these recommendations. This isn't because I am trying to lure you in before telling you it will cost the price of a kidney, so don't panic.

If you are interested in booking any of these bands or singers for your wedding, take a look at their website and send them a message so they can give you an accurate quote. As always we will only ever work or recommend brands we genuinely would book ourselves. No one has paid us to be featured, its just a case of one local businesses supporting another.
